Seen the Evora, this car don't even have 'Climate Control' despite of it high asking price, also the built finish, seems to be out of place for a over $300K car.!

Heh - If climate control is what is important to you then you should be looking at a Cayman, or maybe something more like an E240 rather than a Lotus.

Not a matter of right or wrong, is just something that bugs me time and again, I have lost count of how many times I have seen people comparing cars that have no business even being mentioned in the same breath.

A lot of uncle are lao beng and cannot drive manual car leh... Evora last time no auto, but i presume auto won't be as fast as the manual (which is the original intended design of the Evora?) Much like the 350Z or 370Z...

yeah. evora is more to be compared to the 3xxZ series.

Yeppers, that would be a pretty close comparison.

Some people make me laugh - would look at the Atom and then comprain that can't fit two sets of golf clubs in boot. [:p]

The Lotus is a raw sports car. No other car being sold on the local market can compare to it. The rest are just GT cars.

Yes, there are.

ferrari f430 scuderia

Porsche GT3 RS

Ariel Atom (Think still sell in Singapore)

Lamborghini Gallardo superleggera

to name a few.

Actually the Lotus is quite refined - much more so than the GT3, the Superleggera et al - you can even fit a set of golf clubs! (minibag)

It is the Exige that is raw.....

For me I wouldn't self import - cars in this class I seriously want the back-up of a dealer (and I did buy a PI car so am not biased)

IIRC, there's one model which doesn't use the toyota engine
