KaKiLang 4th Gear April 22, 2011 Share April 22, 2011 i flush my cooling system... 1st time brown stuff came out (45k mileage)... then every 20k... 2nd time was nice and green.... 3rd time came out like brand new coolant.... (every change buy a coolant treament GUNK abt$15... tropical coolant$5 x2... many btls of distilled water from NTUC).... gear oil i first changed at 45k... came out so foam long kang colour... then at 60+k change again came out like new oil leh... (3btls of castrol 80w/90 GL4 @ abt $8/btl) Those brown stuff are rust builtup, pay abit more use only long life coolant, cost more no water, need not have to change at all just top up thru the reservior but I do flush during my 100k intervals to play safe but no brown stuff present as you mentioned blue liquid only. During petrol stop I never let the bangla put water into my radiator. But I did dat since day one I collected my car.

Club21z 4th Gear June 12, 2011 Share June 12, 2011 I think we should follow the car manual. Some people believe that if a 30 weight oil provides good protection, a 50 weight must provide great protection. That's not necessarily true. If your vehicle was not designed to take a 50 weight oil, using one may not cause more engine wear, but it will likely cause an increase in engine temperatures. This can be just as bad for the longevity of your engine as increased engine wear.
