Hi All

I am going for a concert at indoor stadium soon. Just saw in the SISTIC website that no photography/videography is allowed:

21. No photography, audio or video recording is allowed during the Event unless otherwise stated by the Promoter.

I intend to bring my DSLR with 300mm lens. I have not been to any such concerts for a long time so can anyone can tell me if they really enforce this rule? I don't want to end up going there and then cannot bring into the concert hall. Especially since i am going to rent the lens @ $100.

Thanks.

when i went to iron maiden concert, many used their point and shoot or hp. no one brought dslr. but you aint going to good photos unless you got f1.8 or f2.8 and low noise at high iso. don tell me you want to bring along your flash also, simply not possibke

if yoy really want to bring, bring a nex5. amazon selling only s$800.

Once you are caught......your camera donated to security...yes, they do enforce

Singapore sucks when it comes to concerts. I mean rock concerts. Seeing all the Youtube vids of rock concerts elsewhere, people really have fun with cameras and such. Security should be concerned with people out to disrupt good clean fun.

I felt the Iron Maiden concert, well, and all others done here, don't do justice to the concert itself, our so called good sound system is so farked!

Still better off watching it at home. I took a shot clip of IM's concert with my phone, and so did my sister, fark, like I said, sound system and lighting

totally C.M.I. Linkin Park was also screwed when they came here. [shakehead] [shakehead]

To TS, don't bother. BUy the DVD/Blu-Ray.

Turbocharged

2yrs ago, Emil Chau's concert, i shot half of them in video using my PnS.. and i see lots of people doing that too.. Ushers and security don't seem to bothered with it..

But if you're gonna bring a 300mm lens and DSLR in, it's prob gonna garner enough attention from the security such that they won't let you in..

which canon camera? how low you gonna set you ISO to?

Was considering renting a 5D Mk II which is an FF camera and has up to ISO 25600. anyway i tink even with f2.8 @ ISO 1600 with 550D should be ok lah. The concert stage sure got light mah.

There are attendants walking around, warning people using recording devices. Yet to see a confiscation though.

I have seen people trying to take a video of the whole concert, and frequently turning around to check for these attendants.

Really wonder how they will get to enjoy the concert. Why not just wait for the DVD concert to be released?? :D

And yes, they do check your bag before you go in. If you want to bring a camera, just slip it into your pocket.

They won't check people who are not carrying anything.

To bring in your camera + huge lens, either work in the press, or work with the sound crew. :D
