It doesn't matter, both will teach you almost certainly the same thing.

Ultimately it is how capable you are when it comes to performing in your job.

Studying is just for that piece of paper that qualifies you for something but it can never beat real life experience and knowledge.

Any reason why Kaplan over Mdis?

Care to share how much is the course fee for the degree alone?

Hi bro,

I can't remember how much is the degree cause i have to go for the diploma bridging 1st.

Bridging costs about $4.5k but because I got SDF grant i only paing $2500 for a diploma.

Degree costs about low $20k if i not wrong.

Reason is simple, i got friends in kapland and mdis.

Feedback I got from MDIS friends is that the admin sux and a lot of time wasted in doing administrative stuff and they are unfriendly.

Kaplan has got its own share of complains but i've been there for 1 month now so far so good.

Your personal consultants are young, but have a certain level of professionalism when dealing with your issues.

KAPLAN - UniSA? Hull? NUI?

MDIS - Bradford?

I am from the education line.

Although the Public Service Commission will recognise degree prima facie, Unfortunately, Bradford is not recognised. My wife got her degree from there and it wasnt recognised at all.

Anyway, KAPLAN is better managed. But Murdoch, IMHO, is not a good school to start off with. I have interviewed many graduates from there and they are the pits. KAPLAN APMI, I believe still offer the National University of Ireland's Bachelor's. That is a better option assuming they still do. In my line of work, I hire Faculty internationally, Aussie Faculty are not as international in their knowledge with the exception of a few. I am also an Aussie Grad for my Masters.

Hope the above helps.

Neutral Newbie

Hi,

I'm also considering part-time biz courses offered by MDIS & Kaplan.

MDIS - Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business and Marketing (Validated and Awarded by the University of Wales)

MDIS - Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Business and Management Studies (Awarded by the University of Bradford, UK)

Kaplan - Bachelor of Business (Business Administration) Swinburne University of Technology

Kaplan - Bachelor of Business (Marketing) Swinburne University of Technology

The biz courses offered by MDIS is 3 years & i read through the course curriculum and it seems like they're teaching more modules as compared to the biz course offered by kaplan, which can be completed within 12mths to 18 mths.

As a employer, who would they hire? Someone who has a cert from MDIS or Kaplan?

I'm afraid that a 18-mth course may not be able to give me sufficient knowledge. But 3 years seems pretty long too. I have a friend who studied & graduated from MDIS in 2012 i think. And she told me she wouldn't recommend MDIS (She didn't take biz course).

Has anyone studied biz courses from MDIS/Kaplan and can you share your experience with me? Like the study environment, the course modules etc.

Thanks! :)
