anybody encountered this?

was ok w 98, managing 11.5 - 13km/l.

after pumped v-pwr fuel due to promo of price same as 98, next few tanks returned much poorer FC, say around 10.+km/l. checked no leak anywhere, tire press ok, alignment ok, drivin pattern n routes similar nature, no extra load.

anyone encountered this b4?

if can't normalize, does reset ECU helps n how to reset?

TIA.

v power will give poorer FC than Fuelsave 98. That's why they didn't call v power "Fuelsave V-Power" or whatsoever. Objective of V power is to give more torque and engine response than 98 and 95, not better FC.

yup...v-power burns more freely givign that boost to the car....thus the low fc..

but good to use once in a while...clean engine..

For my car negligible feel lah

Twincharged

For me no difference between 95 and V-power. Only one that got difference is 92. 92 I get better FC.

bro depending on your car i wouldnt recommend that especially if its a conti

my friend did that on a camry and his EPROM lost alot of memory as its volatile memory. Need to retune/reflash the ECU at AD costing $700

EPROM is a non-volatile memory. How can the data be erased after disconnecting the battery?

I tried 95 for the whole month of March, and I got poor FC.

Switched back to 98 this month, and sleepy engine was awoken.

lower octane will give you lesser pick up power, that is why you will tend to depress more when you want to achieve the same power pull of the engine when higher RON petrol can give you on the previous pump.

To achieve good mileage on lower RON petrol is to control your right foot & expect less power achievement.

Kaisu method reset ecu, take battery connector out for 30 mins.

Super Kiasu method, after disconnecting pump brakes to drain the balance.

the straits times did a test some years back and concluded that 95 is the best value
