Does Singapore lack talents?

Shortage of talent is a standard excuse that can be used to justify a whole range of stuff from importing FTs to justifying sky high pay to why you should only X for the MIW.

 

Is this fact or myth? Please discuss.

 

I think we have no more and no less talents than any other country. Just that over here, ball carrying is a high weightage criteria to be officially classified as "talent".

It should be "cheaper talent" .

 

It's the greed of companies and garment who can hire cheaper talents from overseas.

 

The locals have most of the talents needed in this country, except for some jobs.

 

Companies only want to pay so much, so they get FTs cheaply.

Look at our 2 local world-class universities now. If one walks into the campus, one may think that they are in Beijing or Guanzhou University, except that one is located in Clementi and the other at Tuas.

Depend what talent you refer to...

 

1. Keyboard Warrior Talent--- plenty here in MCF alone...

 

2. LTK Talent----- plenty here and SBF forum....

 

3. Anti MIW Talent--- from the look, quite a fair bit...

 

4. TCSS Talent----- More than enough...

actually, i wonder which government in the world would say tat it lacks talent....of cos they'll say tat they have talents, rite?
