Karebu 1st Gear April 7, 2011 Share April 7, 2011 Was checking pressures on my tires in a clockwise fashion, starting from left front and as i moved to the rear tires the caps felt different. i couldn't figure out what was wrong but upon inspection the rear caps were still silver, but they were hexagonal. in fact i think now they are stainless steel. (my originals were round chrome.) damn. weird ass. must be a cyclist who took my caps and replaced them with his. ↡ Advertisement

Darkblue 1st Gear April 7, 2011 Share April 7, 2011 My tyre caps was stolen far too many times, I then replaced it with black plastic steel rims type of caps. Just it case... then I got a packet of (40 tyre caps). End up ??? The black plastic caps was not even touched for loooooooooooooooong time. Wasted $ on the 40 sliver tyre caps. Wind 1st Gear April 7, 2011 Share April 7, 2011 it should not be stolen but got exchanged when u do your tyre rotation during servicing. especially so, if you do it a typical tyre shop. Or if you just changed your tyres. if u notice how they do, they normally unscrewed it and put the cap in a box that is full of 'different caps' , when they put it back, they just randomly pick one and put it back. i have got my share of mixed caps, tarnished caps, or one that has gone totally missing

Keep the packet [40 tyre caps], they are your good luck charm Wahaha. As long it does the job, keep the tyre valve from dust, sliver or black no problem for me. In fact, I find those blue, red, amber tyre caps super eye sore. Sliver / Black most discreet, neat look. ↡ Advertisement
