Your car FC worse than 4km/L? of course mileage claim must be worth more than actual cost of petrol... it's nothing to do with the FC. When the company gets free use of an employee's personal car for company purposes - the wear, tear and servicing costs is borne by the employee.. so it's only right the company pay more than just the cost of petrol to compensate. Even mileage claim is 70 cents, company still earn eh?! Looks like using personal car for business not really worth it, since most company only gives 60 cents! IIRC, about 20 years ago, my mileage claim is 65 cents, in a different company now today, it is still 65 cents.
