Donut Supercharged April 4, 2011 Share April 4, 2011 bro, if u are planning to take threadmill for your IPPT, i suggest you go practice on it a few times. Its very different from running on road. your legs and muscles need to be used to threadmill first. u can set the threadmill to run by certain duration of time, then u can see the distance that you have covered after completing it. Run a few times on it.
Rubberstamp Neutral Newbie April 4, 2011 Author Share April 4, 2011 http://www.mycarforum.com/index.php?showto...20&start=20 Thanks! I am Cat Y1 but i can't find the speed. But my colleague who is Cat Y just told me the speed on threadmill is set at 11.7. Is this 11.7 km/hr? Passing speed (2 points) for Cat Y is 13.00 min. So if you take speed x time = 2.535 km ??? Am i missing something?

The PTI there will guide u on how to run on the treadmill. During my first step on the treadmill, i found it quite difficult to adapt. PTI came along and ask me to "Land on your heels, Land on your heels!!!"... haha..

But we should run only 2.4km! and not over 2.5km Unless 11.7 is not km/hr.. but i have run in other threadmills and the speed level is always km/hr

Bioinformatics 3rd Gear April 4, 2011 Share April 4, 2011 Thanks bro. But passing mark for 2.4 is <13.00 min (this is for the normal IPPT). Hmm... Using 11.4kph and 12:45min, you only cover 2.3655 km instead of 2.4km. Think the level 2 slope compensate for the 0.0345km. (11.4/60) * 12.45min = 2.3655km. Donut Supercharged April 4, 2011 Share April 4, 2011 to be safe, during your training, run on 11 or lesser. dun run on exact 11.4. Be fitter, just in case, on the actual IPPT day, u may not be on top form.
13177 Hypersonic April 4, 2011 Share April 4, 2011 Heard the threadmill 2.4Km test not easy, run on normal rd much more easier.
Donut Supercharged April 4, 2011 Share April 4, 2011 it is easy, provided you are used to it.
Fooblack Supercharged April 4, 2011 Share April 4, 2011 it is easy, provided you are used to it. i tried last year and it is easier to pass on the treadmill. aircon plus tv to keep your mind occupied helps... but one need to get used to the treadmill first.. need a few round of practice cos it is diff from jogging on the track.. ↡ Advertisement
