I was watching the forum/debate on Channel NewsAsia today at 10pm. This is the first time I came across Dr Vincent Wijeysingha on TV. He debates well and seems to be the most confident speaker among the opposition representatives in the panel.

Which constituency will he be contesting in?

Yep, he's the most confident speaker so far prob due to his better command of the language.

Not sure what constituency he'll be contesting though. Just know that his old man was the principal of RI.

U mean dr eugene wijeysingha was his old man? Hmm.. He's good. Speaks well and eloquent. Not afraid of the ruling party.. The other guy from wp gerald is not bad. Cant say the same for nazem and lina though. Frankly, after watching, if lina stands in potong pasir, i think pap has a good chance of winning it back.

Gerald looks not bad though sometimes still tongue-tied, he just need to get some more experience in public speaking imho.

The other 2, I'm quite disappointed esp with Lina. [:(]

High calibre people lilke Chen Show Mao and Dr Vincent Wijeysingha, it bodes well for the opposition parties. They are people with a mission and we should support them.

Given their profiles, I believe PAP would welcome them with open arms should they want to join them but they did not.

The SDA rep seems to be seeking assurrance from SDP from time to time.

The SDP rep shoot off pretty fast but with doubts on where he got the facts. Just because he spoke to one, the rest are like that. Entertainment good like in debate, maybe good alternate for Monday Variety.

Lina........well she....got distracted until she do not know what's the question.

WP, is only interested in being considered as the alternate party issue.

Well, i would say he's one of the better debaters among the opposition party...

Stood out very firmly and calm...

While Gerald managed to be average...

The rest :wacko::wacko:

Well, there's a chinese version on sun, 9pm?

Vincent shows the most confident & spoke the best among the Opp speaker... too bad he's with the SDP which i'm not sure if will be affected by Dr Chee's creditability.

The young chap Gerald from WP put up a reasonable showing... the other 2 are indeed disappointing. I really fear for Potong Pasir..

I feel Gerald showing is alr not bad...it is not easy speaking live on a debate show like this...there is further room for improvement of cos but overall I felt his showing was creditable...I give him a 7/10..

Overall for PAP side, I find Josephine Teo is not that good also...the flow of her speech is not bad but she doesn't address the issues head on and go out of point at times..
