hi all...

it seems that i have come acrossed a couple of ppl who have changed to Federal 595's after using T1Rs... probabaly due to cost wise... am looking for some comments... ^_^

am on 16" T1Rs now and am deciding for my next set of tyre change...

wanted to get Potenza RE001...post-59875-1301756009_thumb.jpg but i remember my last set didnt last very long... so thought of saving some $$$ but do not want hopeless tyres on the car... so looking for cheaper but performance tyres from taiwan/Korea/china?

*Thought of Nangkang NS-2...post-59875-1301756025.jpg looks like performance tyres but couldnt get any sensible reviews...

*Federal 595 i think got a few different types right?...post-59875-1301756065_thumb.jpg have seen them on EVOs too... so i guess cant be that bad...

*Hankook RS2 but dont think cheap...post-59875-1301756080.jpg

*V12 dont look very performance tyre... post-59875-1301756113.jpg but i got some vouchers see how much cheaper it will be with the RS2

*Dunlop Direzza the ones in the market are the dz101?...have no idea if its good? thread looks alittle like a performance tyre... but price like alot cheaper than the t1Rs and RE001s... must be lower grade?

arghhhh... why buy tyre also so headache ah?....

V12 is definitely better than T1R.. I used to be on T1R as well, but gave V12 a try and never regret it. Its cheaper than T1R but performance wise is definitely better. As for wear rate cannot compare at the moment.

Supercharged

I'm on 595 now, close to using it for 16000km.

It's quite good actually. Never give any problem. Wet, dry all ok. Cornering ok too. At least my car never skid at all, unlike some jokers here talk abt blaming their tyres when they skidded. I seriously doubted their driving skills more than their tyres.

I drove up and down to KL on 140km/hr, and I'm still alive here.

595, when it's new on yr car, will give a Wong Wong noise. But after 1k or 2k km, it will go away. It's normal.

Noise level, I must say it's comparable to most other tyres. I was using eagle f1. So Im qualified to say something abt noise level.

If it's within yr budget, go for it.

Neutral Newbie

you can also try

kumho ku31, ku36

i am currently on 595, approx 31,000 km..... dry grip definitely more than adequate, wet performance on straight no prob but no pushing in the corners...

I was on 595 before and now on T1R.

i understand... but daily drive car mah... so i am considering a cheaper alternative....

as for noise level it is very subjective to tyre size, road condition and car make... so noise is no problem/issue to me... ^_^

Supercharged

Since it's just a daily drive car, just take 595. Won't go wrong, provided it's cheaper than other options.

V12 my bro just changed he says the side walls very soft (18")... actually T1Rs are ultra performance tyres... v12 no bah... i have no doubt t1Rs are better than v12... but i guess maybe different car and different pressure makes a diff...

i would get t1Rs again but its gonna cost me $700 over dollars... if i get a cheap brand but performance tyre.. only need to spend only $300+ ^_^

still recovering from overspending in Feb... [:p]
