Spark Plugs....when to change?

Any bros know what are the signs to look for when you need to change the spark plugs? Read that its between 40k to 80k depending on the type of plugs that you use.

Since the day I bought my car, i have driven nearly 40k without any problem from my engine. But one day just happen to talk about spark plugs with my friends hence the question of "when to change"?

Any inputs or advice?

refer to your owner manual, different car have different requirement. usually changed at 40K but if you re-gap and clean it up... it could be use till ur COE expire...

in the older cars, mechanics can take out n inspect the spark plugs to judge if need to change....not sure abt the newer cars....maybe they juz go by the km travelled n change as per manufacturers manual.

Just changed my plugs. Used KR16 orig Toyota parts. Costs me 25 dollars for everything plus labour.... but that is special prie for me :) checked at Autobacs they charge 35 dollars.

I use normal plugs.... I prefer to use till 30 to 40k km and then change new ones rather than use iridium plugs. It's not too expensive anyway and I dont drive aggressively.

Thanks for the inputs.

By the way, my mech inspected my plugs and says it's still good to use for 10 to 15k km more but I already made up my mind to change hahaha.
