Vextan is MCF PAP spokeperson, I thought everyone knows that. I don't even bother to reply to his posts.

Quite consistent in behaviour with individuals or entities known to be aligned with the incumbent in other forums.

have a thing for launching personal attacks, these fellas. Don't know why too.

if you are earning 10k per month, will you say that you are over paid while most of the population are earning less than half of that ? how about 8k ? who will admit they are overpaid , while they are accusing others of being overpaid ? if you are given a job that pays a few million dollars a year, will you admit you are overpaid and volunteer to take less ? only a liar will say he will. for every one who says they are overpaid, dont forget there are two that thinks otherwise, base on the previous election results. the reason why i am the only one to voice this out, is only because the vast majority dont bother to reason with the hypocrites here in MCF.

very reluctantly i tell you all a stark truth, i used to cast my previous votes in the last two elections to the oppositions (sorry boss if you are reading this). but after coming to MCF and read about all the complains and whinings towards the gahment and policies, i deliberated the reasoning behind their postings, and i then realise that these complaints are mostly lack of common sense and logic, or are too shallow minded and short sighted. ever since, i have realised how spoilt and ingrateful many people are, especially the yet-to-make-it-there young MCFers are.

in my work , half a million of dollars or more are spent at a stroke of a pen on a purchase paper. the monies are necessarily spent on education and we have to pay the market price to the vendors. we cannot tell the businessmen to sell us at cheaper price for the sake of 'education' or serving the people whatever bullsheet. what is 3 million dollars of salary for the pm when his delivery of his duty affects the lives of millions of people ? for what e have achieved today, the millions of dollars are nothing. my indonesian maid comes from a country rich in oil reserves, yet hundred of million of people there are jobless and living without a roof over their top, literally. you all think if it is not because of very capable people at our helm we cn achieve what we had today ?

dude .. you seriously making me ROTFL

your insistence in insulting other forummers who disagree with the RP's policies - calling them names - really brings your credibility down to zero... no.. below zero actually. In fact, you do more to hurt the PAP's cause than help it.. you have got to mature up before you come to the forum and try and teach your grandmother to suck eggs.

thanks for admiting straight off that you are a PAP front - but it's sad to see that with all their millions of dollars of salary, they can't afford a better spokesman.

u dont get the point some r saying here: $ should never be the main reason 1 becomes a politician, otherwise it is equal to admitting that as along someone out there pays them more, they will accept & obey.

Papaya pays $15/k mth, so wat if someone starts an opposition party to pay them $30k/mth? They will defect? Or suddenly theyll say loyalty & service to nation above $. tok kok understand. THAT is wat everyone is worried abt, they r all abt growing $. By virture of using GDP growth as a bonus incentive & pay peg, they will only do policies which r pro garmen coffers, & along the way alot of underperforming locals who cannot catch up with such policies will feel increasingly alienated & growing angrier wif d garmen.

Its as if garmen doesnt care whether its locals or FTs here next time, as long as they contribute to growing GDP is OK liao...

That is wat i feel alot r angry abt... theres no retrospect, theres no self criticism, as V Wijeysingha sort of said: compassion is lacking.

Anyone whos working in MNCs here will tell u same story: FTs increasing & sidelining locals whenever they can to bring in more of their own kinds, & the garmen doesnt bother to address this at all. Y? coz GDP growing mah, orchard rd more tourists mah, our reserve can buy the whole world mah. BTW we the farking tax payers r the ones helping this, so god damn listen to us!

I aint no politician but I can tell u netizens have substance in voicing opinions as such.

Our PAP clowns make up the top 30 highest paid politicians in the world. And that is from running such a small country, and doing a bad job at it! And this bad job looks like going from bad to worse. They are paid so much but are not held responsible for jail breaks (Mas Selamat), screwups, and recently the widening wage gap between the rich and the poor (as said by TinTin that ugly bit ch with a stupid hat).

Yes, they are grossly overpaid!

The question is "is ur papa overpaid", simple as that. Why do I sense guilt and defense in the response???

Dun even wanna mention the general public cos I do not know the demography of forumers in MCF. But I would tend to think that we belong generally to the middle class, early 20s to late 30s, maybe early 40s with some numbers of school boys and uncles.

Are we representative of the general population regardless if one is pro or anti papa? I would say probably not but it sort of signifies the thoughts of our future generation.

Its true that papa has done many a wonderful thing to bring us to where we are, but we cannot base on past merits to move forward.

To label people as ingrate is simply to tell others that you are stuck in time.

i think hor, need to differentiate between a profit driven entity and a nation leh...but in our case a bit difficult to make out the difference also.

Majority of us feels they are OVERPAID

Surpised to see some agree it is reasonable

If you asked the ministers themselves, they would answer UNDERPAID. That's why ministers salary will increase by 30% soon

number 8 seems to pop out at us and we forgot about the 130++.

so no need drill into the details, look at the bigger picture - the result clearly tells us the answer.

Whether the PAP ministers are overpaid is one thing. Most importantly will the opposition party, if they form a new government, pay themselves less than the PAP ministers.

I believe they will revise downwards the salary so as to be on high moral ground. Lest they will be kicked out the following term.
