Jialat. So this is true.

http://app.supremecourt.gov.sg/data/doc/Ma...12-2006(bp).pdf

The court application for bankruptcy was dated december 2006 as above. The Straits Times article said Foo, her husband and her children all moved to Thailand in the same year 2006! Were they running away from the debt?

Too coincidental isn't it?

No invasion of privacy here cos as Mr Khaw BW says,

"When asked if the PAP has a stance on how its MPs should respond to questions about their personal life, Mr Khaw said: 'Once your enter politics, then there's no such thing as your private life.'" [TODAY, 16Feb2012: Come clean with the people, WP: Khaw]

Doesn't this prove "she wasn't running from debt" when she moved to Thailand?

It would be ridiculous to run from Standard by moving to Thailand when she is working for them in Thailand.

This is the time for Ms Foo to come clean and share with Singapore, the circumstances that led her husband to be charged for bankrupty by the very bank she works for.

As Ng Eng Hen said yesterday, these MPs will be entrusted with "BILLION dollar" projects and their integrity has to be whiter than white!

Can we trust Ms Foo with our money?? For her own interest's sake, please own up and explain, or we'll hear tales like how she approved loans to her husband surreptiously, and then allowed him to get away scot free without paying back a single dime.....

Does it really matter if she does a good job? Don't everyone have a past and made mistakes before? Moreover it is common to lose money in business, as long as she fulfils her responsibilities I do not see a problem with a former bankrupted husband.

I mean SPF so efficient surely can locate a over zealous Netizen?

SPF is very efficient when coming to catching locals in this kind of cases.

But they can't do a thing when it comes to locals being smashed up by foreigners.

it's ok, as long as one is transparent and accountable. i suppose all the rumours about her are false. but tbh, i've also seen people in the past asked to retract comments only for it to be true later.

Whoever fabricated this story is desperate for attention, having resort to personal attack is lowest of the low. [rolleyes]

unless we are 100% sure the person is clean, best is to remain neutral and not take side.... asking questions about his/her background etc doesnt really amount to condemning or defending the person. when there's nothing to hide, information will flow
