Pisces69 6th Gear April 17, 2011 Share April 17, 2011 bought a 2nd hand Satria Neo. Just 2 days and alarm spoilt. Car can't even start. Got to tow to WS. Worse no one at Sin Ming could fix the car. Now have to tow to Proton Service Centre.... OMG...... The 2nd hand dealer sell u a lemon. Looks like u never give the car a through check b4 u buy. Anyway MY cars n not that good lah. Ty cannot compete with Thai made cars even. Most of my MY frens tell me the only reason ty buy Msia car is cos ty r cheaper than other cars. Excluding China car though. Those r even worse. ↡ Advertisement
Pisces69 6th Gear April 17, 2011 Share April 17, 2011 (edited) Original Proton one. Not aftermarket. Now I am going to rip out all the stock alarm and install aftermarket one. Proton things cannot be trusted..... After what I have read on the net. Dont start tearing everything out n spending too much $ getting all new stuff. Find a good mech 1st. Otherwise u end up spending a fortune n yr problems still not solved. Take it slow. 1 step at a time. Edited April 17, 2011 by Pisces69

Picanto 3rd Gear April 17, 2011 Share April 17, 2011 So far so good. I am not worried about mechanical reliability with Proton cars. I read good things about them. What really worries me is the electronics. They are as fragile as BMWs....lol...... compare proton with bmw? a bit insulting right?
