Skip Neutral Newbie April 26, 2011 Share April 26, 2011 (edited) Benny, thanks for the delivery of OC 2.0. Worked on the car over the last 2 days, here are some pictures to share. Surface prep process: - Wash - Claybar - PC7424 / polishing pad / Meguiar's M105 on all horizontal surfaces - PC7424 / polishing pad / Menzerna PO85RD for entire car - Wash with Mama Lemon Paintwork is in good condition so it was spared the rotary. Some pics of car after surface prep, before application of OC 2.0: Application of OC 2.0 is similar to Opti-Guard, only difference is OC 2.0 dries slower so i had more time to buff off the high spots. As OC 2.0 contains 20ml of the product, i had the tendency to apply a thicker coat as compared to Opti-Guard which contains 10ml. OC 2.0 was applied to all exterior surface including front and rear windscreen, all windows and 4 wheels. I still have about 10ml of the product left which should be enough for coating another car. Did not take pictures of the car after OC 2.0 application as it was getting dark. Below are some pictures of the car after a quick rinse this morning: Can't really capture the effect on my iPhone camera, but the glossiness and clarity did improve overnight as the product cures. OC 2.0 seems to make the car look a shade darker than before. Edited April 26, 2011 by Skip
Love_hes Neutral Newbie April 26, 2011 Share April 26, 2011 (edited) Any difference in terms of shine between OC 2.0 and OptiGuard? Nice work[thumbsup] Edited April 26, 2011 by Love_hes
Skip Neutral Newbie April 26, 2011 Share April 26, 2011 Any difference in terms of shine between OC 2.0 and OptiGuard? Nice work[thumbsup] Can't really tell the difference visually. I am quite tempted to layer OC 2.0 on top of Opti-guard since I still have about 10ml of the product left, but I read somewhere in other detailing forums that it is not advisable to do so as the product is not designed for layering. I may still go ahead and layer it if my hands get overwhelmingly itchy

Love_hes Neutral Newbie May 5, 2011 Share May 5, 2011 Opti Coat really makes maintainance so much easier. A quick wash -> Poli Seal (AIO) -> buff off with (Optimum Instant Detailer & Gloss Enhancer). To produce this:
