Hi car lovers,

 

Anyone of you who is driving TC car with intercooler water spray install?

 

If yes, how significant when the sprayer kicks in, let's say current oil temp is 100 degree.

daily driving, hmmmm.... quite optional unless very high boost... but knowing your cooler is sprayed is a reassuring feeling

bro, the intercooler water spray does not bring down engine oil temps. It cools down the intercooler, which actually makes the engine to burn more air. If anything, it makes your engine hotter.

 

If you feel that your car sometimes loses power on hot days (even in Singapore), that's where this will help avoid this "power loss".

 

For engine oil temp, what you can do is to buy an additional nozzle and spray it onto your oil cooler, if you have one. This can bring your oil temp from say 90deg down to 80+.

My vehicle colt version r, and already has the intercooler installed.

 

I dont find any space for this cooler liao.

intercooler spray doesnt bring down the oil temp.

 

install an oil cooler .you can have it installed inside either your left or right bumper near your wheel arch.there should be space there.while installing it , you can ask your workshop

to install an additional fan onto your oil cooler with a switch which you can on/off inside your cabin.

 

to further stable your overall temp when you boost or increase your ignition timing ,get a methanol injection kit.

Its good only if you are running high boost. Else its not necessary. If you are running stock boost, its not needed because the intercooler is sufficient to keep the air cool. If you want to get cooler air because you increase boost, I suggest getting a bigger intercooler instead.

 

If you mod your car and install aftermarket turbo and run just 7-10PSI, also don't need it. Intercooler more than sufficient. If you want to improve the efficiency, add a fan to it (if its top mount). Front mount will have the radiator fan to suck in air so don't need to do anything.
