How many auto transmission driver shift to N at traffic lite

Auto Gearbox manufacturer should do away with 'N' if its not advisable to use, just keep it simple to P,R,D

If I'm not wrong the neutral mode is to allow the wheels to turn freely should the vehicle need to be towed.

Dare not try it for a Cvt, some auto gb the ecu will free the gear after sometime when not moving.

I'm afraid of wearing the transmission out by constantly shifting it to N. I only shift to N if the light is long. Maybe 100 a year.

Just a thumps rule....less burdens to those engine mounting.....live longer

Even better, some drivers put their gearbox to P when they stop at a traffic light. How do I know? You can see the REVERSE lights come on for an instant. I've encountered one car who shifted into REVERSE instead of D when the traffic lights went green and nearly hit the car behind. Nowadays whenever I see the reverse lights come on in the car in front, I will have my hand ready on the horn in case the driver chut stunt

I tot for cars with twin clutch like TCT or DSG must go to N else clutch will burn like those VW's and Audi.
