Tigershark1976 Turbocharged March 12, 2011 Share March 12, 2011 remove anything possible... every single kg in your car can make differents... from spare tyre, car jack, tools, carpet, lesser fuel (maintain lesser than 1/4 tank), water in wiper resevoir and garbage like old new paper, magazines, shoes, slippers, shirts & etc... most car can reduce 50kg to 100kg by simple spring cleaning.
Macjon Neutral Newbie March 12, 2011 Share March 12, 2011 Agreed on the weight reduction part. Just go on diet. 1) lighter driver = lighter car 2) saves you money to buy a better car
TMCTR Neutral Newbie March 12, 2011 Share March 12, 2011 Drive a sonata. Exactly! Sonata is comfortable and good at cruising, acceleration super, absorbs bumps extremely well too! Took one sonata cab yesterday, was observant about the engine, it was super powerful, wonder if really got turbo in the engine or not.

Ncp91 1st Gear March 12, 2011 Share March 12, 2011 Hello fellow Yaris owner, as with all other NA cars there's quite a lot to do to gain a little bit of extra torque and horsepower. But the plus side is that an NA engine is less complicated than a turbocharged engine. So here we go: - drop all excess weight. Some will even dump the spare tire but take note that it alters the weight distribution slightly and may make a difference on the traction limits. - lightweight rims, SSR or Volk Racings. Stay on 15 inches and you'll see your fuel economy improve as well. - Based on Fujitsubo's website, using their Wagolis exhaust nets you a bit of horsepower and torque gain. Its the only legal exhaust for the Yaris in Singapore - You might be tempted to try an open pod, but it improves your top end power at the expense of low range RPM tractability - Use your entire RPM range, I regularly visit 7,000rpm when marging in expressway traffic. - It depends on whether you're on a stick or on a slushbox. If you're on a stick, changing to a racing clutch helps with power transmission going between gears, changing to a lighter flywheel and also a quick shifter all will help to shave a few milliseconds that will add up. U get a better car. If that's. Not possible learn to sonata as a graceful sonata, and that will be less stressful.
