Curious what hardware it is running lor. It really was an impressive launch.

Without actually seeing the car its hard to tell,

 

Here is a link to some Satria mods. But the one in the video looks alot more hardcore. They could have swapped out the engine, added nitrus, stripped it of excess weight etc. Would be interesting to know how they got so much traction they got on the ground.

 

I know a guy who swapped his proton engine for an Evo engine, they do a lot of nutty things there just because they can and its cheap.

 

Also 0 - 100 acceleration is one thing, but say if they did a 150 onward acceleration the GTR would likely take the cake.

I am pretty sure they went more than 0-100. lol. Can see the GTR couldnt close the gap. and observe the brake light at the ending. The proton was quite a distance further. [laugh]

 

Of course if longer distance then maybe results will be different.

 

Anyway, heard that proton swapped his engine and did a lot more other mods. And the GTR is a near stock set up. Not sure if reliable info though. Imagine u getting jio-ed by those racer wannabe. The look on their face when your proton demolish them will be priceless.

I was referring more to a NSHW drive two cars side by side at 150 then both step on it kinda situation. With a stock gtr even at 250 it shouldn't break too much of a sweat.

 

Haha no man, my Malaysian friends warned me of this kinda zheng chia. I'm just a simple family driver.

 

We were once caught in a NSHW race, boy racers were doing their thing in heavy traffic (bloody dangerous), some were doing 150+ on the emergency lane. Ultimately regardless of car the one with more balls still win.

Yup, I agree. Having seen the way some of them drive on NSHW, I think once you have any car in sub-5 or 6 sec 0-100 and can do 250+, once in traffic it is about who has bigger harder balls.

 

Have seen many older looking cars run quite well on NSHW. Remember this rusty 2.0 badged Alfa 155, at 250+ still keeping up. Not to mention the common angry little Myvi's buzzing around quite well with their after-market turbos and the legendary Wiralutions.

Wira-lutions, Satria-lutions are a common sight, so are the turbo kancils, and K3VE-T Myvis..
even the new Saga's engine mounting is a direct fit for the 4G92 MIVECs,

their law permits engine upsize of up to 25%, and they dont really care if you swap in a TC engine, can be settled as long as you pay..

Their law in this respect so much more reasonable lor. Upsize and pay the tax. Here I can't even change to a TUV/JS approved exhaust.

Turbo charged or supercharged, NOS it.. (its expensive) & illegal..

 

"The blue little jem that plug in the spark plug is bulls**t too"

 

Last 1 which many people did. Add e-throttle.. Thats bull shit.. (just control the throttle opening) u still lose many petrol & u will end up killing your gear box.. just the way how u step your throttle hard..

 

So dont spent too much money on those gimmicks..

 

Maybe downsize your rim and pump the correct PSI...

or a Steel Air filter is good enough.. for AUTO car..

Some people right foot slow mah. Lets say the slowfoot takes 200 milliseconds to depress the pedal fully. If he got that E-throttle thingy, in 100 milliseconds he would only have depress the pedal halfway but throttle already fully opened. So car accelerate faster lor.

Improving the volume of air intake.

Introducing turbulence into the intake air (case by case).

Improving the ignition system over stock ignition.

Reduction in the engine driven moving components (case by case).

Improving the exhaust air evacuation (case by case).

Increasing the engine capacity (limited increase can be done).

Improving the aerodynamics of the car exterior (case by case).

Raising the temperature of fuel being injected (risky).

Mod the driver. That is one of the most effective methods and it does not require any of the above list.

 

On a stock car, one can see or feel the difference.

Not all engine got full power when pedal fully depressed....some engine even 'choke' when too much fuel & air enter at the same time....

But for an immediate effect, should just recommend a slope, let gravity does the work....
