It is no use by just stepping harder on the accelerator, the general original setting of cars will reserve the 20% of throttle opening, and there will be obvious sluggishness for half-second, and then it will speed up gradually. MQX87511 5th Gear July 24, 2018 Share July 24, 2018 (edited) firstly need to answer the purpose of increasing acceleration, at Singapore traffic condition, the only "advantage" of increasing acceleration is faster to reach next red light to stop, and faster worn out brake pads Edited July 24, 2018 by MQX87511

Maxene August 23, 2018 Share August 23, 2018 1. Make simple adjustments to maximize fuel economy and power. 2. Install a cold air intake. 3. Purchase a higher flowing exhaust. 4. Reprogram your engine control unit. 5. Swap your tires for high performance alternatives. 6. Replace your spark plugs. Hope this helps!

Joelwong 2nd Gear October 11, 2018 Share October 11, 2018 Did not go thru all the pages of this thread, a lot of people complain no pickup, actually pickup is there, but people can’t bear to ‘zham’ The accelerator. Step accelerator like pu55y car of coz slow. Of coz different cars must ‘zham’ differently. For example, Toyota, must zham gently....follow the rpm , zham too hard, all ‘air’ whereas Honda like to be whacked....light turn green full throttle. Nissan CVT different again . Depend on car I’m talking about B&B cars here....i got no knowledge about performance cars. (Anyway drive performance car one won’t ask this kind of question here already)
Ahbengdriver 6th Gear October 20, 2018 Share October 20, 2018 (edited) Acceleration? Money lor. The saying...money makes the world go round... So $$ also makes car go faster. As in, either spend more $$ to zhng or send $$ to buy a bigger engine car(nothing beats displacement). Problem is, a lot of us thinks that with a smallish engine just add some big ass turbocharger, the car will be faster, better, etc...not always true. But bigger engine is. the other point is lighter lor. all comes back to power to weight ratio. Edited October 20, 2018 by Ahbengdriver
