Why is commiting suicide illegal?

What is the rationale behind making suicide illegal?

Is it true that the body of a suicide case will be handcuffed?

If the suicide is successful, will the person's family have to pay the fine?

Is murder illegal? If it is, u have answered your question.

The act of suicide is murdering yourself. So technically, u are a murderer.

I presume that when murdering another person, that person's life is taken away without his consent?

In suicide, the person only harm himself and willingly.

Even in various religions, suicide is a sin. Life is yours, but your life is given by others (parents). So yes, murdering yourself is still murder.

It's illegal because it's damaging public investment. Into every single citizen, taxpayer money is spent to subsidize their education n growth. Each one of us is partly owned by everyone else, so we're responsible to keep living, contribute back to the society that indirectly brought us up.

illegal because resources are wasted with so many SCDF, Police officers coming down just to save one person. If die no offence, if never die prepare to be charged

Dunno about the giving back to society part, but yes, it damages public property. Especially those MRT suicides...

Wouldn't it be awesome if attempted suicide carried the mandatory death penalty? [:p]

If you don't do the job, they will. [laugh]
