TandemAssassin 1st Gear March 16, 2011 Share March 16, 2011 I am curious to know whether OPC or normal plate too...If normal plate, then it just dun make sense to pay so much for the car and then use so little just to save $400/mth..the depreciation of the car alone + insurance + road taxes alone would be much more than the $400 per month..on the otherhand, if OPC then I can understand as people would still want to have convenience of a car outside working hours to run errands and for leisure purposes.. The $400 parking made me buy OPC. It didn't ever made sense for me to buy my car - it was bought as a project car and because I had gotten too used to having two cars in the family. The parking deterred me from making it a daily driver as well. Hope you can understand now. Though I have friends who own normal plates and leave it at home too. Some have company sponsored cabs to and fro work; others have a passion for biking. The car is there just in case they need to ferry people or run errands. ↡ Advertisement

Thaiyotakamli Supersonic March 16, 2011 Share March 16, 2011 if the MRT straight no need change line, its ok la moreover if only few stops but the stupid MRT line make sometimes its troublesome for example, sengkang to pasir ris so near but MRT need one round circle. if take bus sometime delay or crowded. lagi worse if take mrt to CBD in peak hr, not worth to become sardine smell each other armpit and touch other ppl hair, girl at disadvantage and men touch wrongly then die. Lol. But yes, I think the connection between lines can be made much simpler and easier. And they should speed up the damn construction of the DownTown Line and opening of the rest of Circle Line. The gahmen just taking their own sweet time man.

I don't believe the second category exists at all!! Anyone who says inconvenience as an excuse is just using tat as an excuse so others won't know the cost is the real issue :p
