Is insurance for subaru significantly higher than higher brand of similar spec? How is legacy 2.5GT insurance compare to wrx?

Haha, similar spec. What do you consider similar spec? Only other 2.5T AWD out there is Volvo?

S4 and 335i would be higher spec IMHO.

But generally, I think Legacy insurance is a bit lower than Rex.

let's say Legacy 2.0R, how is the insurance compare to other 2L non-TC sedan like Mazda 6, Camry, Civic...etc?

heard that Subaru insurance is very high even for non-TC ride?

well, insurance for cars are very 'tricky',depends on alot of factors, like age, number of year driving,NCD...& relationship with the company, for example,my Mazda 6,with 50% NCD,because of the the 'old' number plate, which is reg under my father's name[79 yrs old],i even stated he is not driving,i paid $1800 [thumbsdown][bigcry] ,while my friends paid only $1200.... [thumbsup]

Similar spec: Mazda 6 2.3L Turbocharged, $1152 by AXA with 50% NCD + 5% OFD, Age 37 married.

Why registered under your father's name? You should start buidling your own NCD since they quoted you high premium anyway.

So, done anything interesting to it yet?

except for adding some cosmetic mods such as visor, hid foggies, really still bone stock.

My spoiler just arrived and its still lying in my boot as I got no time to go leave my car for 1 whole day to spray and install it.

next up will be front grill and flip key modification.

still enjoying the power so tuning will be last.

Hi,

I drive a Subaru Legacy 2.0 GT Wagon (BP5) and is changing car. Had bought 2 spare O2 sensors during the time I owned it as it is a part that is prone to fail and needs replacing.

Anyone interested can reply or PM me.

Anyone has good tuners (not too expensive) to recommend for light tunning Legacy GT? The Pros shop too expensive...

The legacy has some peculiarities which some tuners couldn't handle well. Try EDGE (ken), he understands the legacy very well.

Also will recommend Ken at Edge for tuning.

His tuning will not give you flame spitting biggest power BUT it is safe and smooth while giving noticeable improvements. No CEL no engine piang.

You can also ask him to tweak the SI Drive throttle map if you want. e.g. You find I too soft and S too twitchy, he can either remap the S down or the I up.

Actually, what are the peculiarities? Would be interested to know.
