1. No need scare mileage tampered 

2. Dealer run road

3. Warranty from dealer not valid 

4. No need send workshop check this check that.

1. Lower expectations. Used car not new anymore

2. Use wisdom. Look for wear n tear signs. Some signs not easy to disguise. Then use calculator if mental one spoilt. 

3. Dun sign anything without reading or worse sign after reading but dun understand what is written. 

4. Vocal promises are cheap and like what all insurance companies will tell you " never admit you are wrong". 

5. Try to buy with own money in hand. Pay 0 can mean it will end up on auction one day. Seen some cars on auction mod until swee swee. Face value overnight gone. 

😂It just wisdom to buy within one's means. If cannot afford, dun blame father not rich enuff, govt no good, divide between have and have-nots bigger. 

Goodness. Have car but can only park at home. Petrol too ex, ERP too high, carpark expensive, maintenance too much blah blah blah. Why buy then? Lease and drive as PHV. Your health always good? Please. Tom Dick Peter John can doesn't mean it's good, suitable or even necessary. 

Stay safe all. Covid-19 is one thing, mental alertness and ability to think clearly is fast disappearing. Years ago, less cars, badly paved roads but ppl happy to walk, take bus or cycle. 

Now, more cars, better roads though bumper, improved public transport yet ppl with more health issues and money problems. So many live like the world and country owes them. Instead of competing to be healthier, happier and better ppl, they compete for face, own better cars, houses and can't sleep well, worrying about money daily. Why?

At this rate, I think no need to upgrade car liao. New car comes with new car premium, it is just paying for a peace of mind and that premium vanishes as soon as you drives out of the showroom.

 

Just bite the bullet and go for premium dealers and those left 7 years COE + only 1 owner + less than 50k mileage type. Can go AD check records cos most likely still under warranty. The safest 2nd hand cars to go for.

The thing is most ADs will not disclose the service records to you until the car is in your name.

It is extra 4k overall,not just 2k. but if i will to renew coe, i do not mind buying the inchape one which comes with 6 month warranty and very low mileage.  The car has about 9k parf, even coe will to drop sharpy after 2 year renewing it, i can just scrap it and look for another  car to renew COE..pai seh i am a coe car person.

Mine is an unique case, as I have the full info of the ex-owner on hand. The other way is to make friends with people in the AD service center...

With their profit, plus their expertise to check the car in a most thorough possible manner, plus their own workshop to provide 6 month worranry at cost,  they dont  have to do anything funny and can honor the best after sale repair than any ah beng dealers out there, sometimes people just fail to see that. Of course there would still be possibility that a car may breakdown right outside the delivery bay, but those situations are far and rare.
