Why is it popular to be pessimistic and predict dire things like "end of the world", when looking at events in Egypt?

 

It was a good thing, and a new beginning for them, after living in fear and tyranny under a ruthless dictator. Certainly an auspicious event, I'd say, far from any "apocalypse" [rolleyes]

i dun think its apocalyptic..but what kind of extremist government they might have in future is hard to gauge [dizzy]
