Behaviour on escalator?

I've been wondering..there's a group of drivers who are always driving around impatiently..thinking that everyone is blocking them and wasting their time..so they do comical things like horning continuously and high-beaming..

 

There's also another group who like to block others way..they will unwittingly go at below 90km/h on expressways lane 1...or they take their time to drive leisurely with a mobile phone in hand either texting or talking..

 

does this behaviour actually carry forward to other aspects of their life? how do u behave when u're on an escalator? there is not a flame thread..just something to ponder over the little things in life..

I always keep left unless rushing then will walk. Go Taiwan will tiok gan becoz they left hand drive so when using escalator have to keep right lol.

I noticed in HK, they also keep right leh....

Observed in other countries. Most keep right regardless of which side of the road they drive...

Anything is ok as long as not fast lane hogging. Especially true when one is rushing for a train when some idiots just stomp there like a tree...

We always keep left on the escalator, me and wife in single line, not side-by-side.

in Sg, there is no such practice to stay at one side, which is left.

maybe need some campaigns to encourage one to keep left and those who are in the hurry to walk from the right. =p

Its automatic in Japan. Makes for easy overtaking.

pple in MCF all very good behaviour..makes me wonder those brutes i've encountered on shopping malls' escalator from carpark to 1st level are from where

I doubt that those who are driving develop the habit of keeping left on the escalator. It's those who take public transport like MRT who will take the initiative. So what you see is norm. Drivers are mostly not aware or take sometime to realise it.

 

It's an irony since drivers keep left when they are not overtaking.

Not so much I think.

People usually think they are invulnerable when they are inside their cars.

But outside of it, not so much.
