Retrieiving avi clips ? missing fr SD card

Hi there

 

My fren got a situation . Recorded a few AVIs.. played them on the camera . still have . 2 days later.. one precious video clip disappear . She did not delete them.

 

Any software to try retrieving the avi clip out ?

 

She is a panic situation now..

What do you mean exactly by disappear? Means the file can't be found when viewed from the camera? Plug out the SD card and plug it to a laptop and look for it. it's usually *.avi extension or another way is search for all files and look for those that is above 10MB size. If it's still not there, can say bye bye to those files liao.

 

If you are dead serious in getting it out at all cost, then have to bring it to data recovery expert company. Not sure if this is applicable to SD memories. Then again, if you have taken any more photos or video after you discover the files are missing, there's a chance that new files may have overwritten those video segments.

If really deleted, use "Search and Rescue". It'll find all deleted files in the card.

disappear meaning.., she play the avi file after she recorded and we witnessed it. then after 2 days.. she wants to replay the file back in her camera... cannot find already ?

Then try inserting the SD card onto a PC and use Windows File Explorer to look for this file to check if it's there...

if you giving a useful tip to the thread, pls avoid putting yr comment here.. I tot here the bros are mature enough to know that..

 

Disappointed.

Eh.. she tried she cant see from there too... so means no more ?

Excuse me, that is the name of the software, short of me lending it to you, spoon feeding that is, aim helping in my comments, but if you find it difficult to even understand the limitation of HELP, then may I suggest you think again,with your stupid scarsacm. Matured we are, a prick, you are.

as long as your card is not corrupted or the space is not yet over-written, it will recover the files.
