Watwheels Supersonic March 1, 2011 Share March 1, 2011 (edited) On 2/28/2011 at 12:12 PM, Elfenstar said: Hows the routing and speed of the M8? I'm tempted to get the android version. The routing I find it ok but it does not able me to select roads to avoid like in Mapking. Re-routing speed is normal about 2~3 secs. Satellite lock is almost instant. Got the usual functions of a stand alone gps device like postal code search(subject to the quality of map) road search and POI search. POIs Nearby, Coordinates, trip record list etc. There's a pedestrian navigation mode too(have yet to try it out). I forgot to mention that it has a auto simulation mode like when you enter a tunnel eg KPE it will continue to run in simulation mode so that you can know which exit to head out. I feel that this is one of the good features to have in a gps navi. Voice setting has a lot of options, Mandarin, Hokkien, Hakka, English, Cantonese, Malay & Bahasa Indonesia. Zxcvb Turbocharged March 1, 2011 Share March 1, 2011 I'm using Papago M8 Pro. Navigate my trips up north many times. No problems at all. Got 3D function, junction view, POI search, postal code search, re-routing damn fast, sound is loud enough on a iPhone4. As for updated maps, they usually update the app (with updated maps of cos) periodically. Well, my advice is if you got iPhone, might as well make full use of it?? That's what the iPhone is made to do. It's like how many ppl who carries a iPhone also carries an iPod at the same time??
Kangadrool Supersonic March 1, 2011 Share March 1, 2011 (edited) Garmin 1350 - signal loggin fast, re-calculation fast unlike 255W. But not as user friendly as many proclaimed to be. Searching can be a pain (slight spelling difference or too detailed input will return no find, plus, need to change to Malaysia map before can search.............) If only the user interface/searching can be as user friendly as Free Google map.... Edited March 1, 2011 by Kangadrool

However if comparing the Singapore ones then I think the sygic aura maps are better. Got alot more POI also. I find the interface alot easier to use as well. No worries then. Thanks though.
