Well said. Compared to those who keep bragging themselves to be the best.

My thoughts on the lousy opposition mentality.

I have worked for a few companies.

Each time I start a new work in a new company, I will have total respect for the boss for able to set up a good system and company.

But after working for few years, I come to realised that the boss is just like me. There is no special skills or capabilities. He is just hardworking and able to have good supportive employees to help make his company great. Over the years, he learn from mistakes and gained experiences and knowledges and respect from his business associates.

I relised that a newbie will always be seen as incapable, since there is no platform for him to work on and to show his skills. Also without going into the business proper, how do you expect a newbie to know the intricate workings of the company he is working for?

Likewise....we must give the opposition an opportunity to work.

Did Chiam fark up and lost his wards? Was he good on the onset? Or was he lucky to be given a chance to prove his worth?

Did the rest of oppositon in parliment fark up and proved to be useless? Did the opposition talk nonsense in parliment?

My point is....all humans are about the same....if the chance is there....they will do great things.

Same thing happened in 1965 when a new team was formed.

That the tentative list of where the opposition will stand in the next General Election....

Lets be fair and see how many honest mistakes:

1. We have Mas Selamat Saga,

2. We have Singaporean urged to go JB for medical treatment,

3. We have hit and run Romanian at large,

4. We have once in a 50 years flood,

anymore....

Supercharged

Why are we always saying that oppositon lousy or don't hqve no good solution to our current problem? Are they really that lousy? Don't you think that it is always the media have been unfair to them? How many time you have seen good things been said or done by them? And how many bad news have been publish no matter how small it is?

Before Low Thia Khiang came to become Hougang MP, do anyone know how good he is? We can say that he is lucky that at that point of time, the resident there are fed up with PAP and he is able to speak Teo Chew to win them over, but he treated his resident so well they still vote for him every GE. The last GE he got more vote despite all the heavy weight behind PAP candidate.

Why opposition have been played down is all due to the media, they choose what to publish and what to hide. We know they are pro toward PAP, so do you think it fair to the opposition?

my current md ever told me he did think of running for opposition. working with him, i can vouch he is capable, but if he comes out to run for election as opposition, most of the people will still think he is unproven, not capable etc.
