Yeah..my SA also told me ard that price range...

jus checked with the SA. Current price is $125k (before loan rebate but after discount)... and he cant confirm on whether the equipment list will be better for the turbo version and he told me to take it that it is exactly the same except for the turbo....meaning price aldy increase $5k from your booked price?

COE has gone up $9k so if you only pay $5k extra, u are getting better deal than us (in a sense). I think if Aug 1st exercise COE drop, second one sure go up. So the question is whether first exercise will drop. Considering the net COEs available (after removal of taxis from Cat A) is still reduced it would seem unlikely. But then again, if it was really true that the taxi companies that had pushed up the COE in the first place then maybe it would drop afterall - at least for first august exercise.

Ya, my SA also said the same which is a shame. VT buyers are likely to be "enthusiasts" so i don't think we would mind paying a bit more for the Dimension Audio system. But look at it another way, if they did include the Dimension Audio system then i guess the OMV will go up. And for every $1 of OMV, we are paying at least extra $2.20 in price. So we might as well upgrade our audio locally after collecting the car and we will have full selection of whatever brand we like.

At the least they can offer a "basic" VT and a premium VT. For elantra they bother to separate Elite with and without sunroof which is only $1k difference. So why can't they do that for VT buyers? To me the veloster can be something of a "halo model" for hyundai (at least in singapore). In other countries, VT is compared against the likes of scirocco as they are close in price and performance. Here in Singapore the VT is much cheaper and Hyundai can win over some would-be Scirocco/Golf/Jetta buyers.

Komoco, are you reading this??

By looking at the specs of VT, in terms of power and torque, it is much higher than scirocco..i was thinking will it actually perform/pickup better or on par with scirocco?

Cos my fren bot Peugeot RCZ..specs compatible with Audi TT...however the acceleration is slower than the latter...hmm....

If VT is at least on par with scirocco...i also tot of changing from NA to Turbo...hmm...however it is not here for testdrive...very hard to make assumptions..

I quite confident will be at LEAST the same as scirocco, likely better (although i don't intend to carry out any tests ha ha). VT max torque kick in 1750rpm, scirocco kick in at 2000rpm.

In US, someone did a 0-100 for VT and it was 6.9sec! But that was MT and if i m not wrong 17" rim. So i think Singapore VT at worst is around 7.5secs. That's why must invest in light rims :)

Buy the turbo for better driving experience, having lots of torque at your disposal when you need it (especially overtaking road hoggers).

Haha I saw 2 veloster in 1 day don't know if im luckiy or what. 1 blue veloster on pie as im sending my wife to school and the other red 1 at ericsson petfarm droven by a bald uncle if i not wrong.

btw i'm a 2012 swift sport owner. i put deposite for my pre order sss 2012 before i come across veloster not the turbo version. Frankly intital i feel comparing both car and i feel i didnt make a mistake going for the new sss. But now the turbo version coming = i kinda regret. LOL.

it's a beautiful car but the interior not suitable for me cause im tall and my head keep rubbing against the driver front roof area cause i love to drive sitting up straight. but overall i would say its a good car. but im still loving my sss though. =)

peace,

Yes i know the specs....and they're just specs :) and the video i saw (which was 6.9 sec) was a manual. To me, its really not that important (whether it is 6.9, 7.5 or 8.1)cos i am not going racing anyway....i just don't like the feeling of not having the pick up when i need it (when driving 1.6L NA) so this TC will definitely be significantly better. And that's good enough for me.

Relax. I just correcting the facts not saying about you going to racing or whatsoever. Don't need be so hostile. Chill. If you are unhappy for the correction of the specs then I simply have no comment.

For me I feel that blue is more unique. But red can dress up with more aftermarket parts. And yeah I'm driving a manual. I love manual. Vt shld have bring in manual version. Then maybe just maybe I would change to it. But as for now. Nope sorry auto is not my thing. I will

Feel sleepy driving auto cause I just too boring even with paddle shifter. No offend to auto driver that's my own Thoughts.
