Hyundai Veloster coming?

Put a cushion on the cup holder and you will get 3 seats behind (since many don't buckle the belts at the back).

 

This design is very nice, no other brand comes close to this?

There should be an option as a 5-seater too.

Just went for a test drive today. The look is great. Very sporty. Interior is cramped in the rear. Rear head room is low. Due to sporty design.

 

Interior assessories given is quite a lot. Sun roof is cool. But the ride is lousy. The engine in its current configuration is gutless. Have to wait for the final GDI version in June.. Current version cannot make it.

 

Heard that the car is heavier then the Elantra, so using the same engine in a heavier car probably pickup is lousy

You must be very tall, I find the back seat ok for me (I'm 1.72m tall).

I just find the electronic steering is very loose and gas pedal is very heavy.

Accessories are 7inch LCD, Day-Light LED, Sunroof, 18 inch wheel, not bad though.

Yeap. The rear is ok for me too. Of course, as long as your head is resting under the rear windshield.

 

I just hope the new Veloster Turbo as a 2012 model comes with soft touch interior plastics on the dashboard as seen on the Elantra.

 

Quite disappointing to still see hard plastics.

 

And the nice exterior is somewhat spoilt by the plasticky interior. Darn.

 

Still can't have my cake and eat it. Haha.

Yup wonder how the GDI engine will perform. The dual clutch gear box seems to be the first in a Hyundai. Just concerned about the reliability.

 

Hopefully they will still continue the fantastic 5 year warranty.

Hyundai DCT is actually using the same tech as the dry-type DSG from VW... Both are coming from a Germany called LuK.

Australian media said that the DCT on Veloster is smoother than other cars... Wondering if they are talking about VW

VW's 7sp dry DSG is super unreliable.

 

 

Torque peak is a little high at 4850rpm.
