February 2011 Second Open Bidding Exercise for Certificates of Entitlement

 

The details of the February 2011 second open bidding exercise for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs) are as follows:

 

Tender opens: Monday, 21 February 2011, 12 noon

 

Tender closes: Wednesday, 23 February 2011, 4.00 pm

 

Tender results: Wednesday, 23 February 2011

(Available on the www.onemotoring.com.sg website)

 

The total quota available for this tender is 1,888 for the following vehicle categories:

 

NON-TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:

 

Category A : Cars (1,600cc and below) & taxis 511

 

Category B : Cars (1,601cc and above) 424

 

Category D : Motorcycles 330

 

TRANSFERABLE CATEGORIES:

 

Category C : Goods Vehicles and Buses 287

 

Category E : Open Category 336

 

COEs for categories C and E are valid upon receipt until 31 May 2011 whilst COEs for categories A, B and D are valid until 31 August 2011.

Very likely tomorrow will be low or crash.

Stock market Lao sai.

Middle east got problems.

Budget handouts money not enough.

Some more gov say only 14% enough for retirement.

If keep paying for overpriced cars..... more people cannot retire anymore.

 

Not many will be in the mood to buy cars.

remember to log in 1545hr to see spolier

all kiasu brainless dealers anyhow bid, can see how the number shoot up.

etc ; 0 to 5000, 4000 to 14000 - considered normal

another pattern is 0 shoot all the way to 30000 then shoot again to 40000.

siao lang, where got got ppl like that bid. u go auction bidding also do it the steady way

Seems like there were quite a fair bit of backlog from previous bid. Also, I saw more customers at showrooms than previous weeks... Maybe maintain or may go up slightly?

Me think taxi will keep buying.

The good economy, increased tourists, is driving the demand.

Also increased population will create demand for taxi.

 

Taxi companies are rich, when they want to increase the fleet. Die die they will get the COE.

 

Some more now lesser COE, means some will be deprived of owning a car. This group of people will tend to take taxi to their destination. It's a vicious cycle causing the taxi demand to increase.
