A styro foam box with a cold pack?

Would it introduce a moisture problem? Gadgets might be best placed in a dry environment.

Should not ba. The styrofoam box creates a small enclosed space, so the total amount of moisture inside is not that high. Besides, the moisture will only be on the cold pack from condensation.

Can try. But still think a bit troublesome. Need the cold pack. Try the styrofoam box alone first ba. Put in something, the after an afternoon, take it out and feel how warm it is.

Hmmm, kind of curious. Like a science experiment now.

Remember to wind down window when you drive with dry ice. Otherwise, die until don't know.

I've never tried this suggestion before but you may wanna conduct an experiment first.

Get two similar alcohol based thermometers. Place one of the thermometers in a insulation bag (e.g. those $2 kind available at Daiso for keeping things cool like ice pack or cold drinks) you intend to place your electronics in. Place the insulation bag in the car boot. Place the other thermometer anywhere in the car boot. Conduct a timed test with different time intervals to check difference in temperatures.

Just an idea.

Why should the temperature inside the boot be higher than inside the cabin? After all the inside of the boot receives no direct sunlight, unlike the cabin where the sun ray heats up the material directly. Unless after a long drive where the heat from the exhaust creeps in, but that is still only one corner.

1stly, I think you are worrying unnecessarily. I keep all my electronics in the cabin and park under sun everyday. Like bluetooth, gps receiver, phones and laptops which all survive more then a year(long enough i think). [cool]

2ndly, the boot is cooler. BUt i lazy to transfer stuff from cabin to the boot. [laugh]
