i am using yoko c-drive (very noisy but good wet/dry grip) 185/55/15 with advanti rim (duno wat model). If i change to 195/45/15, do i need to change my rim as well?

i am looking for comfort & less noisy, budget up to 125/tyre ... can anyone recommend any good ws to trade-in rim and change tyre?

no need to change rim as i believe your rim is 15x6.5.

I just went to Euro-Asia Venture yesterday, to trade-in my 16" rims & tyres for a brand new set of 15" rims & tyres.

Darren is a friendly guy to speak to.....choose your rims & tyres then you can negotiate the price with him.

Y i recommend this ws is because it's near my workplace & I'm quite pleased with the deal & their service. You can try p-- ---g or Soh or PitStop....so many....the choice is still up to you....

Best is to drive your ride over to the ws so they can give the trade-in value of your existing set....

paiseh hijack thread.

is a 55 profile tyre more comfortable than a 45 or is it neligible?

i changed from 205/50/16 = 102.5mm to 195/55/15 = 107.25mm which gave me more side wall height....which i find it's more comfy...

Depend on the tyres you use. By right should be more comfy and quiet. But in the end still depend on the tyres you use. If same brand same model just change higher profile of course more comfy and quieter.

Yea it's kinda significant if you are a very observant person hehe.. Like mine I changed from 45 to 50 profile the ride is slightly less bumpy and quieter.. Maybe +-10% there. But I find that higher profile don't look as nice in terms of cosmetic [laugh]

Most likely dun need. Every rim have a min. and max width. But you say change from 50 to 45... Means lower profile means less comfy. 185 to 195 means bigger width means more grip, more contact with ground , means more noise.

Who advise you the change? He gave you the exact opp. Try Michelin ps3. Should fit your budget +/-

i have changed to hankook v12 evo 195/50/15 with trade-in rims, the ride is definitely more comfort and quiet compare to yoko
