Just would like to find out if any of you guys did as above?

For me, it does. Use to drove a 140BHP car and push like no body business, just to fully extract the 140 ponies on every occasions.... [hur] [hur] [hur]

However, after changed to this current ride, I hardly even used more than 70% of the car power....

Any comment?

Neutral Newbie

Don't use any gear higher than 2nd gear then the driver will use most of the Power staying in high rpm if that is the objective.

If there are turbo lag, which 10+ years ago it was common then the driver needs to rev high. Just like some Vtec engines in the 80s and 90s need to rev high to extract the power. But the cars nowadays whether NA or forced induction are tuned for higher torque at the low end hence very little lag.

Driving bigger car is definitely better on highway, but not as fun for city drive.

For some cars, if you change to light weight rims the car accelerates faster and cornering is better, but the car lose a little stability and comfort somehow, and steering feels lighter. Among other things like suspension, antiroll bar. Of course some high end cars have electronically controlled air or magnetic controlled suspension that you can vary the settings.

So it all depends on how a driver wants their car to be, how they choose their car and specification.

Not true le..... Used to drive at least 130kph along expressway, but now maxed 110kph, guess my ego then was bigger..........

Same here. Last time only a 1.6L car and like to drive like a F1 driver on the expressway. Now upgrade to a bigger cc car but drive much slower liao! People want to jio me on the road, I let them win. I guess this is a sign that I am old liao! [:(]

When I drive my EVO, straights I cant be bothered driving fast. But I do enjoy tackling corners quickly and w/o braking. Guess I am pushing the car to its limits and its useful to know how the car behaves :)

When I drive my Fiat 1.3L, I take it really easy. Looks fierce but cant run.. esp with 16 inches rims and slammed.

For ppl owning STI, EVO and GTR, as far as I encountered OTR, they were travel at normal speed without breaking the speed limit majority of the time. However, those in Lambo/Ferrari were mostly going fire fighting I must agreed...

Guess these elite got spare $$ to buy a new ride when crash, while ppl like us will not be having another ride after totaled our MIJ sporty ride......
