You got to find out which 2 sensors first.

Yes stockists sells most sensors.

500 for 2 sensors? The w/s gotta be kidding. Unless the EMU is fried.

Otherwise, likely MAF- no air detected, hence engine shutdown.

Suggest you get your friend to a reputable w/s with Consult and get the mech to diagnose which sensors are showing abnormal readings on ign.

You'll then have the sensors required and check with stockist. Normally pretty straight forward replacement.

Side-trek a little.

The Subaru Impreza 1.6M TS is roughly the same price as a Nissan Sunny. Would the Impreza be a good buy?

Would the Impreza parts be easier/cheaper than Sunny? :D

Impreza is AWD, think the FC already higher than Sunny. But i heard Sunny FC also not say very good, so wonder which one is better buy. As for parts, Subaru parts not cheap as compared to Nissan.

N16 Manual's FC is actually quite ok. My friend is able to get 13~14km/L easily. The real culprit is the ultra inefficient auto tranny. Very sluggish and jerky when cold too.

Huh? Why must like that - just give them $200 month. Parents why must calculate? And what does you sis have to do with it?

You calculate as roughly 10km/l consumption.

My monthly is about 280ish for 60km daily run for 5 day/wk.

Running on caltex 95.

BTW, it is possible to get 12 to 13km/l on auto. Its just the way how the driver drives it.
