Anybody out there knows the driver of a white EVO that likes to speed down Changi coast road? This morning (Sun) was the second time I saw him, so probably something he/she does often, I guess. Speeding at least 150-170km/h. Saw same thing 2 weeks back. Doesn't he/she realize that there are lots of cyclists on a Sunday? Please lah, can go speed in the afternoon, or at night, but not Sunday morning lah....

For the min I tho it is meee but Changi too far away from where I stay . What's its evo made and can u recall the license plate num ? I know some friends driving white evo like meee haha .... Any distinctive decals or features ?

This is nothing.

Try driving on the ECP at 3am+ on a weekday, heading towards AYE, going relatively fast on Lane 1 on a bend, and as you are navigating a bend, you suddenly come face to face with a PRC cyclist cycling AGAINST the flow of traffic - yes, again on Lane 1, the overtaking lane - with a PRC chick riding piggyback on his piece-of-crap bike.

And this PRC chap and his GF is riding right towards you as you are navigating the bend around the MBS area, on Lane 1, at 3am.

You'll s--t yourself shitless. True story btw.

Anyways, I travel on that road quite frequently.. I was stopped for speeding a few months back at 93 km/h.. It was in the night and 2 White ant bikes were hiding on the opposite side.. Couldn't slow down in time..

150-160 km/h is crazy.. Immediate Suspension of License + charged in court.. Dat's like 80-90 km/h above speed limit.. Why the hell does these ppl risk losing their license for cheap thrills?

And yeah, although these roads are bearing signs to watch out for cyclists, some of these cyclists are asking for it.. If they wanna go on the road, keep to the left.. I hate it when a group of like 5 or more bikes go in a cluster and they take up the whole lane like it's their fathers' road.. Some don't even use safety lights at night.. If hit them really very suay, though they probably deserved it..

I believe the irony will be they thought you were lousy driving on the wrong side of the road, unless you hit them. Heard from one of them years back after she got knocked down (with her confessed one year against traffic flow record).

Is it a White Evo, number plate 2778? That guy drive recklessly on the road and thinks he owns the road endangering other drivers not only cyclist. Also spotted him around Sengkang and Hougang area.

Cyclists don't pay road tax and are not insured, so it's their risk to take when they cycle on the road. I used to cycle on the road for many years, and my balls always shrink a bit whenever a prime mover with a 40' trailer or a mobile crane drives past with their air horns blaring. [laugh]

I had my share of hit and run from a car, a few years back. Lucky no injury/damage to my bike. Now I use PCN/Bus Lane most of the time

they think their front skinny tyre is stronger than cars' front bumper?

More than one year old thread... may be the Evo body already melted and turned into a lorry [laugh]

Not entirely true. I do have bike insurance from MSIG. There is also bike insurance available from AXA.

She mentioned that no one told her earlier

Excuse accepted :D

Hope she now cycles on the correct side and also is not relying on "nobody tells me" as her bumper [:(]
