Actually, groups of cyclist do ride across the Causeway to ride to Desaru.

You will be surprised that the Malaysian drivers are actually more tolerant of cyclist than the drivers in Singapore. Most would not honk at cyclist whom may even be hogging the road.. So, please do not try to tarnish the Malaysian drivers.

Holding up traffic riding up to Genting and Cameron Highlands and you will still not be honked at. try doing that at Mt Faber.

Again, it is really the attitude of both riders and drivers that count..

100% agree

Cyclists don't pay road tax and are not insured, so it's their risk to take when they cycle on the road. I used to cycle on the road for many years, and my balls always shrink a bit whenever a prime mover with a 40' trailer or a mobile crane drives past with their air horns blaring. [laugh]

Did they stay that way?

Let me first qualify that I am not a cyclists. I was just running along coastal road when I saw the EVO. Regardless of which side of the argument you are on, pro cyclist or pro driver, driving at that kinda speed, with cyclists on the road is an accident waiting to happen.

In defense of cyclist, I think at the speeds that they do, there is no way they can use the normal east coast parkway bike lanes. I also don,t think there are many such roads that will allow them that distance & speed.

It's anyway a Sunday. Drive slowly...enjoy the scenery lah....

Isn't it odd the OT wrote this complain about irresponsible and dangerous motorist, yet some had began to place blame on other road users?

We need everyone to know that we are much more superior than other road users because we own a car and pay road tax.

Road is built for car, car is for rich and successful people, so in logic, road is for rich and successful people.

Cyclist please siam one side.

It right for EVO to speeding on public road, but is wrong for cyclists to cycling on public road.
