Even diesel which is cleaner than petrol these days cannot get rebate, much less EV cars. The decision is not surprising. Profit is more important than the environment. That's why i never bother to protect the environment, not in SG at least.

petrol is cleaner than diesel in singapore coz of the non EURO lorries, van, bus

Like I say before....electric bicycle already got so much red tapes.

Cannot this cannot that....still must register a electric bicycle.

Electric car....wait long long.

Electric cars will never work in Singapore.

These car companies are here only to test their cars in the humid, hot, and city start stop condition.

I think the electric motorcycle company also died quietly. Anyone knows what happen to this company??

Two years ago news....any progress?

Singapore not serious in developing green technologies, at least not in the vehicle arena. The govt earns tons of money from taxes from petrol. Those petrol co pay so much money to buy pieces of land to set up their stations.

So how in the world is the govt going to let these fat cows flow away?

Until there is no more crude oil in the world, don't think electric vehicles got any prospects in Singapore at the moment.
