my colleague tried calling the police.

they ask whether is it minor or any injuries.

if no injuries, they will not appear and ask you to settle yrself.

i told my colleague to call ambulance and complain not feeling well. shortly the ambulance/police arrived.

i know everyone will flame me for using these ambulance service.

what to do. if ambulance/police dont appear, there will be many twist of words (statment) when doing claim.

sometimes better to be kiasu and play safe by calling ambulance....some injuries can't be seen externally....

Just one more photo to add. The only one that reflex the joker's car plate number.

Very clearly showing he was amist of changing lane upon impact.

His car is right in the middle of 2 lanes. Very reckless driving. -_-

The driver is in his mid thirties. He was alone in his Vios.

As i recall. i didnt hear any E-brake from behind. I approach the filter lane already slowing down and saw at my one o-clock the traffic on the other road already begining to move. So step further brake to stop the car, then 1-thousand one 2-thousand-bang!!! I believe that Vios didnt even step on any brake at all. If his car e-brake or is also slowing down, it would at most bump lightly into my back. Not a Big BANG!!! i cant understand why he dont even have time to E-brake!!! OMG!!!

That filter lane i drive through almost everyday for the past 3-4 years. No reason for me to act in any irrational way, especially when my in-law are onboard. He on the other hand stays in bukit panjang and driving alone. i reckon he might be unfamilar with that filter road and drive more agreessive since he's alone.

My car just change both front & back suspension. Full 120km servicing package changing all oils(engine, auto-transmission, brake), even coolant i change. Checks done from top to bottom. All these done just 2-3 weeks back done by Harmony Ah Hua. 4 brand new GR-90 tyres manf date : Oct 2010 bot from Soh Bros. All receipts are still inside my car.

All the proper maintenance to make my car safer undone by an idiotic driver.

Im soooooo [mad] gona pour everything out when the TP interview comes!!!! [mad]

bro, u need to be calm and rational when being interviewed by TP, becos i suspect tat bugger will try to twist n turn his story to deflect blame fr himself.

most likely he'll say u suddenly brake n didnt give him enough time to react...unfortunately u dun have a witness nor video to disprove wat he says.

Neutral Newbie

the vios is wrong..wrong.. have you noticed lot of drivers zoom until close to the merging lane and

try to stop in a shorter distance..(technically nothing wrong). but sometimes some drivers drive subconsiously apply brake when they see a brake lamp.

So, last minute stop would have not given time to react to brake...

Even if TS suddenly brake and didn't give him enough time to react, it is the car behind's responsibility to keep a safe distance.

This junction is very famous and badly designed... forcing drivers to cross lanes to get onto the correct road (to go towards airport or tuas). Definately this place MUST slow down, and usually stop, before proceeding, to check if vehicles are coming from the right. And the angle of vehicle from the right is from blind spot - need to look over shoulder to check.

This Vios driver damn cuckoo if he drove fast at this bend, expecting to drive on without slowing or preparing to stop.

He might not be changing lane. He might have noticed u last min while being distracted by some other things and swerve to his left to avoid hitting you. Unfortunately the distance between him and u too close so his right front hit ur rear left. As u had mentioned, u met him on the PIE(jurong) so he was going the same direction as u.

Just report the truth of what u see and heard during the accident. Do not mention any assumptions in the reports.

Take care.

The other driver just need to copy down ur particulars. The insurance will be able to check. And if it is a stolen car I don't think the guy will run away already after getting into an accident. Don't think he will stop there to exchange particulars with you.

Exactly, i think the driver would run until dun know where. If driver no licence driving in borrowed car, i think he'll kneel down n beg u to settle it privately. I dun remember showing my driving licence or the other party's driving licence during those accidents I had during the years. At most only IC n took some photos n most impt the vehicle plate no. Anyway, Spore so small, where can escape unless it's not local vehicle/driver. [drivingcar]

See below case. If the victim (passengers) had called the ambulance, things will be much more easier and they dont have to go merry-go-round KPKB

Given the runaround after cab collision

FOUR of us boarded a Comfort taxi last month. My husband sat in front, while myself, my grandmother and mother settled behind.

We were nearing our destination when another Comfort cab swerved into our path. Our driver tried to stop in time but couldn't.

All three of us behind were thrown forward and suffered injuries. Our cab driver asked if we were all right, and even after replying that we were not, he did not bother to take us to a hospital or clinic. He ferried us to our destination, uttered a hurried apology and took off.

Fortunately, I took down the vehicle numbers and called ComfortDelGro about the accident. They directed me to an insurance company.

Now after almost a month, I have received a reply from the insurance company saying that the fault lies with the driver of the taxi that swerved in front of ours. So now, I am supposed to approach another insurance company. Why was I given the runaround?

this gen of vios, the stock brake are not good to start with.

I have 2 major accidents so far. All with my vios. Both times bang female river's backside.

Don't know whether to blame

1. My own driving

2. CMI toyota Vios original brakes

3. female driver for E-braking in front of me

4. Zhnging my car. Zhng many things except the brake

5. All of the above

For the record, I have driven another 4 cars after the vios and have no accidents so far

Also, I have driven the Toyota Wish and found the brakes really excellent!

stop blaming the car la, blame yrself for not being alert at that time of accident.

BM sold thousands of VOIS per year. If brake is the problem, they would have recall back all the VOIS.

Should blame your own driving. If follow the 2s rule should not have rear ended any one that e-brake.

Maybe the brakes are not very good but should still be safe enough to do e-brake or not I think they will recall already. lol.

I am not sure for driving licence. but for IC, there is NO need for you to show them your IC even if they have requested it. there is no law in the penal code that states that police have the warrant to take our IC. it is perfectly fine if you just give them your name and IC number. but of cos, if they suspect that your information provided is to be untrue, they will bring you back to station for kopi.
