Nzy Twincharged February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 u sure u driving a sonata and not a H3 Seems like hyundai bumpers are not very hard. Just that they will bounce back to original shape if the force pressing on it is removed. I saw my friend reversed his verna to far back in one of the mscp. He reversed too far and his rear bumper hit the bar at the back saw the whole bumper cave in thought that repair cost sure very high already but when he moved forward to assess the damage again we realised the bumper go back to the original shape only damage was some minor scratches only. Nzy Twincharged February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 yeah... try telling TP that when kena stop... see how sympathetic he'll be... I think he wont say anything? Cuz my experience at road block and when TP stopped me I just tell them I never bring driving license then they just took my IC and copied down my details. Passion 5th Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 Actually for roadblock,it depend on the TP mood. Can be detain on the spot if fail to produce driving license. My friend kena bring back to TP HQ and ask family to bring driving license there to proof he has one.Though they can use their system to check, sometimes they just want to fk you and there's nothing you can do as when you drive, you NEED driving license.Just like walking on the street, police do a check and ask for your NRIC,you can't produce, give driving license, they'll close one eye and do a check base on that.Try telling them don't have anything, they can bring you back to NPC or whatever until you can proof your citizenship. As for TS accident,my take is you should have call in police as he doesn't produce his driving license. He can be a no license driver. At the moment of panic, I believe you don't do a face to face comparison with his NRIC to his face, do you? That makes his able to siam all the legal proceeding against him and get someone to take the rap.
Mllcg 3rd Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 actually, this kind of accident, must call police le. it looks quite reckless. the speed required to damage the vios is massive. could be a total loss also

Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 i thought driving license is a must to carry when driving? The official document to identify/verify a qualified driver is the valid Driving Licence. After an accident, who is/are the qualified driver(s) if none cary a valid Driving Licence. I would had believed the one without one could not produce it. Illegal driving. Driving without insurance coverage...

Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 I only carry IC too, cos too many cards liao in my wallet and IC is thinner So far so good. No one reported (if invovled in accident) you do not possess valid Driving Licence at that point in time of the accident. The Insurer may not honour stolen car accident coverage
Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 Its ok to use IC also. I also don't bring license with me when I drive. Then when encounter road block or TP I always use IC. So far no problems. What if got accident and the other party reported you did not possess valid Driving Licence at that point in time of the accident? Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 hmm... this sounds not right... without carrying DL how to check if you are valid driver if stopped by anyone? Stolen car suspect. Do not let him leave the scene till the police arrive.

Good-Carbuyer 1st Gear February 6, 2011 Share February 6, 2011 actually, this kind of accident, must call police le. it looks quite reckless. the speed required to damage the vios is massive. could be a total loss also Mercy-mercy. Call police for the proper reason(s). Call police because the Vios driver got no valid Driving Licence, not to admire the car damage (laugh)
Voxy28 3rd Gear February 7, 2011 Share February 7, 2011 (edited) My advice is see doctor for the whole family and make the claim. The fact that he bang you and your car moved a car length and almost cause more serious injury warrant a stiffer penalty for this moron. Hopefully nothing serious.... For all those F1 drivers, pls be careful when tailgating a Sonata cab.... seriously if this one a taxi, the driver will claim loss of income.... + injury means your insurance sure "peet".
