I never put rain x wor???? tia Likely water stain from acid rain. I used to work at a place which produce a lot of corrosive waste gas. I had to park outdoors 100% of the time during working hours. I have a lot of it, especially at the rear winscreen. DG 501, SRP, all does not help. I bought those 3M fine sandpaper and polish it........but also does not help. Probably need to use a rotary with some cutting compound....... Anyway, it does not adversely impact visibility so I am just letting it be.

With 1 bottle of compound and 1 sponge. What I did was: 1) Wash it clean with good glass wash and with newspaper. 2) clay it (a bit kiasu but i didn't pick up any contaminating stuff) 3) Use the glass compound to polish away the tar/oil/gease/stain/acid/blah blah 4) wash it clean again 5) apply rain repellent like Rain X or something similar (i used this http://www.soft99.co.jp/en/products/detail/6/088) Cheers, Kimu Edited January 31, 2011 by Gearosv2
