I used to have the same prb. Apply some wax and buff it off thoroughly. I did that to my ride and it's gone :)

what are those fogging/patches?

do seems to be able to wash it away after numerous car wash..... alwqays appears during rain

how to get rid of it?

I never put rain x wor????

tia

Likely water stain from acid rain. I used to work at a place which produce a lot of corrosive waste gas. I had to park outdoors 100% of the time during working hours. I have a lot of it, especially at the rear winscreen. DG 501, SRP, all does not help. I bought those 3M fine sandpaper and polish it........but also does not help.

Probably need to use a rotary with some cutting compound.......

Anyway, it does not adversely impact visibility so I am just letting it be.

i believe those patches are wax or rubber residues from new wipers. just get a clay bar, pour water and rub it off as regular maintenance for windscreen. the amount of dirt, sand particulars, oil sticking into the windscreen from using singapore roads really [dizzy] .

thank you all for contribution, maybe i should try rain x or clay bar, ok later go autobac buy

Hope i'm not too late... you should get this:

http://www.soft99.co.jp/en/products/detail/8/115

It;s rebrand as Glaco and packing is similar. With 1 bottle of compound and 1 sponge.

What I did was:

1) Wash it clean with good glass wash and with newspaper.

2) clay it (a bit kiasu but i didn't pick up any contaminating stuff)

3) Use the glass compound to polish away the tar/oil/gease/stain/acid/blah blah

4) wash it clean again

5) apply rain repellent like Rain X or something similar (i used this http://www.soft99.co.jp/en/products/detail/6/088)

Cheers,

Kimu

This is the box and the product works on my front windscreen.

Rear did help by abit.

Sides & Mirror, not much improvements.

Instructions, Apply solution after cleaning up the windows using yellow sponge.

When solution dried up, clean it was the white spong.

Sent the car for car wash afterwards.

Sponge is provided in the box.
