Ishiwgao 3rd Gear January 30, 2011 Share January 30, 2011 (edited) Hey bros, need a bit of help here. as above, anyone made use of the OBD II connectors in their car before? My ride is a 2010 Honda City, and I'm trying to find out which model is the OBD II connector and whether it is OBD II compliant. I tried looking around the door, under the hood and the manual, but cannot find any info on it with regards to specifically the Honda City. Anyone can help? oh, and does it void warranty? Caravan 5th Gear January 30, 2011 Share January 30, 2011 The connector for OBD2 is standard, the pin layout may not be that's all. Try looking underneath the steering wheel area. You can easily learn about OBD on the net.
Xyberz9 Neutral Newbie January 30, 2011 Share January 30, 2011 Yes... as stated by bro caravan... It is usually below the steering area... Where u will need to place ur head down near the pedals and look upwards to see the OBD connection point... Scangauge is one of the tool that can be used.... Ishiwgao 3rd Gear January 31, 2011 Author Share January 31, 2011 yes I have found my connector already. However I wanna use more than scangauge. I'm gonna have a CarPC in the car, so I'm planning to get the OBD to USB kinda of cable (check out the link for an example). so yes as bro caravan said I need to know the pin layout as what I get shipped from US may not be the same as what the Japs are using. Ishiwgao 3rd Gear January 31, 2011 Author Share January 31, 2011 just to update, i tried asking KM for more details on the connector, but they replied "i don't know". My guess is they dont want me to touch it?

Ishiwgao 3rd Gear February 2, 2011 Author Share February 2, 2011 Thanks bro llmw for so much info. Here's my head, same as what you said. Pins 4,5,6,7,9,12,14,16 have metallic connectors. I believe this is the JOBD version? I tried looking around wiki but still can't find any more info than what you've provided, so I am going to assume that the info you've given is the same for me. ↡ Advertisement
