Baphomet 3rd Gear January 22, 2011 Share January 22, 2011 (edited) if the child still active..should be okie. TS mentioned that after medication fever went down, thats a good sign. Most impt is the fever must go down after medication. "If fever comes back again, just feed medication as per prescribtion. let her/him drink lots of water and do water sponging. If after medication fever still remains high, go hospital immediately. As bro silver_blade mentioned, fever itself is not an illness, its a symptom...most of the time its due to stomach flu.. Main concern is if the fever remain high even after medication, it may cause brain damage. actually its very common for infants, toddlers to have fever. Just monitor the temperature closely. Joseph22 Turbocharged January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 Wow recently got a lot of babies fall sick. My baby also got a fever. I think for children under 3 yrs old. Best is to consult a baby doc rather then normal doc caused medicine uses are diff not just that. as normal GP are not specialist in looking after children. they might not dare to prescribe the correct amount of medicine to the child. Funny88 Clutched January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 As above. Appreciate answers, thanks. Hi Go to 余仁色生, tell them you want to buy " 保婴丹". I think it cost about S$17-19 a box, you tell them your baby is 15 months, ask them how much dosage. It works very well for my children!
Fresh Clutched January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 close to 40deg? do you even have kids??? >=38.5deg (advised by paed) u should consider feeding her Ibuprofen to bring temperature down. but often times, after meds wear off, temperature might spike, especially at night. Gd luck! for the TS case, he is stupid, he should just bring the kid to see the doctor, any doctor. the kid is an infant, not a child. For S_B he is right, and I think he meant for older children, not infants, the body kills the virus with heat, that;s why you have a fever. if you don't allow the body to do it's work, well, that's up to you... I'm sure S_B knows what he's doing, this is called hands on parenting. in stead of everything see doctor, prescribe AB... of course if you are inexperienced we don't blame you for being KS. parent;s are naturally worried for their kids. rule is don't come to a car forum to ask for advice, this is stupid. c--k stupid.
