Bystander50 5th Gear January 20, 2011 Share January 20, 2011 hi all, my cigarette lighter got no power out of the sudden. Change the fuse at the fusebox but still no power.. Anyone knows what is wrong? check if you changed the correct fuse. Otherwise try to probe with a multimeter at the cigarette adapter see any voltage reading, followed by the readings from the fuse out.

Walkingtree 1st Gear January 20, 2011 Share January 20, 2011 hi all, my cigarette lighter got no power out of the sudden. Change the fuse at the fusebox but still no power.. Anyone knows what is wrong? Were you trying to light your cigarette? If so, then its either fuse in fusebox blow or wire connection loose. Since you say you already change the fuse (assuming correct amp), then perhaps is the wire connection. If you were trying to power your GPS or car cam or some other electronic using the lighter socket, then it could be the fuse of your power plug blown and not the cigarette lighter socket's fault. Unscrew the tip of the power plug. There is usually a 10amp fuse inside which might have blown.

Mona-vie 1st Gear January 21, 2011 Share January 21, 2011 (edited) Check the fuse. If fuse its OK, then its the wiring or socket. These 3 things only. Edited January 21, 2011 by Mona-vie
