we know Rudy Hartono (梁海量) as he is a legend... but not really see him play before [:(]

yep....when i started watching, the only indonesian still not expired is Icuk Sugiarto (no chance to see liem swee king and rudy hartono play). then again, he more often than not lose to people like 韩健 and Morten Frost. Then new batch of players like 杨阳,赵剑华 comes up. i also like the doubles pairing of 田秉毅 & 李永波

Hmmmmm.................. I remember when there are exhibitions at Great World, they will shine 3 very bright spot lights into the night sky. And from far, once ppl see those 3 bright lights, they know that something is 'on' at Great World and I always pester my father to bring me there ..... [sly]

I also remember that when taking bus there, always drop off after you see "Times House" (former Straits Times printing house) .......

sounds like 2nd world war air raids....... or Batman movies......

Yeah, as a kid staying in Bukit Ho Swee, I remember those WW2-like spotlights shining brightly into the night sky whenever there were major exhibitions in Great World. There were 2 main theatres, Sky (Chinese shows) and Globe (English shows), there facing Kim Seng Road. There were also 2 smaller theatres, Atlantic and Canton, showing Chinese shows after they had been screened earlier at other big Chinese theatres in the city. There was also a Chinese Emporium inside the park and joy rides like Ghost train and others.
