Is Singapore being a safe haven for Interpol most wanted?

Nordian Cuaca is a 45 year old man who has been escaping Interpol and has been living in Singapore! How could this be?

 

I always thought that the Singapore Government has been taking a tough stance against criminals! But it seems that Cuaca has been living in the Singaporean Haven for the past ten years! Apparently, he has been able to settle down here, setup a company, own two Sentosa Coves properties, starts a family and even owns a Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini in Singapore!

 

I always believe that the Singapore Government has strict immigration laws to prevent criminal from entering, let alone settling down here. How was it possible that he could slip past detection then? In this age of Terrorism, could this mean that Terrorists could also possibly slip past detection and conduct their activities here?

 

As a citizen, I am worried if not terrified at this lapse of national security. But for one thing I

how many times have u been asked for IC checking?

 

so long one do not loiter after 10pm at indecent places, eg geylang, i doubt u will ever been asked for ID checking by any police.

 

I have never been asked for IC checks till now....

 

same for driving, if you don flout the law and don drive past potential police stop hours, no tp will ever stop u to check yr driving license. well at least it never happened to me before.

Nabbed by Batam when he took a ferry there! Batam's Interpol List says he is a wanted man., lol

Strange, Batam police arrested the Singaporean because he was on Interpol wanted list. And after that, Batam police undecided which party to hand over to.

The fate of Singaporean Lim Yong Nam, 40, who is wanted by the US Justice Department for exporting a number of US-made electronic devices for bombs in Iran and Iraq, remains unclear.

 

No decision has been made whether to extradite Lim to the US or deport him to his country of origin.

 

National Police chief spokesman Brig. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said the police were still questioning Lim and had yet to decide whether he would be deported to Singapore or extradited to the US, as it requested.

 

“The police are currently examining him, and a decision has yet to be made whether he will be deported back to his country or extradited to the US,” he told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.

 

Lim was arrested by immigration officers at Batam Center Ferry Terminal on Oct. 24. The case was uncovered in 2011 following the finding of 16 radio modules in bombs that exploded on roadsides in Iraq.

Becoz this wanted man is only a suspect for the alleged crime. There's no trial to say he's guilty for now. And in the article when US requested Sgp for him to be extradite to US it was rejected by Sgp courts.

That could only mean there's insufficient evidence for Sgp courts to extradite him to US.

Indo dunno what to do becoz he is not from Indo they cannot anyhow send him to US. I think they can only send him back to Sgp. Interpol HQ is at Tanglin road. LoL...

LOL, if he is out of the wanted list, then Interpol should take his name out.

Interpol needs the help of national police, so must get their info right.

Maybe Interpol office in SG also don’t want him. And wonder if US still want him.

the fact that interpol builds its HQ here of all places, also means the criminals theyre after are either in SG itself or around here...

 

SG private banks are the last stand for privacy... US garmen already force UBS to reveal swiss acct details... i wonder why they havent done so for SG yet? To lure the big catch in with a bait? SG banks are exempt from US garmen probes? bigger picture in the works?
