Seems to be a norm for this industry This is because GST changes from time to time and other taxes might come into play at one time or another ie. luxury tax etc. Service charge is plain exploitation. Even if there are restaurants who dun have service charge they will factor it into the food anyway. They have to pay their staff and pay them OT especially during the weekends. Dun talk until like it's some kinda "Norm". Waiters & waitress dun work for nothing, they are like us have to work & pay bills too. TS like most typical sgporeans. Neow.
