Aspri Clutched January 11, 2011 Share January 11, 2011 I am also in the same predicament. The only solution I can think of is to go and buy a new steering wheel and replace it.

I think buying another steering wheel (original, OEM or stock types) will be more expensive than wrapping, I think the best bet is to re-wrap, there is recently this other thread a fellow leather-wrapped his vios steering wheel, very nicely done I think he mentioned $150 (I lazy to post a link, but a search would bring it up ) and is cheaper than getting a new steering wheel Kenny

I have thought of wrapping. It around 150-250. But i think if there is a rubber coating. It will be the cheapest alternative.

So that why i thought of coating which in the case maybe cheaper.
Hoytusa84 1st Gear January 14, 2011 Share January 14, 2011 Sorry to chip in, but is it possible to change a steering wheel with airbag without activating the air bag light on the panel? Wanted to change but told by WS the light will come on which I don't want..
Rb26dett Clutched January 18, 2011 Share January 18, 2011 try visiting those scrapyards. if your ride are the more common ones , shouldnt have any problem finding either a complete steering wheel with air bag , or just the steering wheel itself without the airbag mechanism . not expensive. ↡ Advertisement
